The Mathews High School crew will host its first regatta of the season on Saturday. Races in the Small Crew Regatta will be held from 8:50 a.m. until 1:10 p.m. at Williams Wharf Landing, Mathews.

Saturday’s regatta was originally scheduled to be the second home race of the season for the MHS crew; however, the April 4 regatta was cancelled because of high winds.

Teams that have signed up are Albemarle, Christchurch, Elizabeth Seton, Gloucester, West Potomac, Williamsburg and the host Blue Devils.

The only parking available is in the paid parking lot ($8 per vehicle, with free shuttle bus). Food and drinks will be available on site. ...
