MHS Homecoming to be held Oct. 6-7

The Mathews High School Homecoming will be held the weekend of Oct. 6-7, beginning with a pep rally on Friday afternoon.

The pep rally will be followed with a homecoming parade at 4 p.m. Friday. The parade begins at Thomas Hunter Middle School and ends at MHS.

“We would love more participation from our residents,” said MHS office assistant/bookkeeper Sara Hogge. Anyone who would like to participate should call Hogge at 804-725-3702.

The homecoming weekend festivities continue at 7 p.m. with the MHS football game against the King and Queen Tigers. The homecoming court will be introduced at halftime when a king and queen are crowned.

The MHS cheerleaders will host a semi-formal dance on Saturday, Oct. 7, for students. Dance times are 8 to 11 p.m. ...
