MHS homecoming to be held Oct. 11

Mathews High School will hold its annual homecoming on Friday, Oct. 11, beginning with a parade in the Court House area at 4 p.m.

The parade will begin at Thomas Hunter Middle School and wind its way through Church and Main streets, ending at MHS. Retired PE teacher Debbie Holaday will serve as grand marshal.

Civic groups, businesses and individuals interested in taking part in this year’s parade are asked to call Sara Hogge at MHS at 725-3702, ext. 1101.

The school’s homecoming king and queen will be crowned at halftime of the Mathews-King and Queen football game, which begins at 7 p.m.
