MHS harriers clasp another home win

The Mathews High School boys’ and girls’ cross country teams claimed another win at their home course, Beaverdam Park, last Wednesday, Oct. 13, with team scores of 21 and 31, respectively.

The Blue Devils faced Lancaster, King William and Rappahannock high schools. Both teams received forfeits from Northumberland and King and Queen. The girls also received a forfeit from Rappahannock.

Cameron Stearns came in first overall with a time of 16:38, followed by Seth James in second with a time of 18:49. Dylan White finished next for Mathews with a time of 19:14, followed by Carson Brown with a time of 19:18, Jaxon McDonald with a time of 19:25 and Chance Higginbotham with a time of 19:28.
