MHS girls get much-needed confidence boost

The Mathews Lady Blue Devils picked up a much-needed confidence boost last Thursday night when they hosted and soundly defeated the Washington and Lee Lady Eagles by a score of 57-9.

 

“The girls have been steadily improving since the beginning of the season; however, the results are not showing up on the scoreboard,” said coach Tommy Eriksen. “Our goal is to take the time we missed in the beginning of the season and be up to speed by the time we begin district play after the Christmas break. We are close, but still need to make adjustments to various aspects of our game. We are playing tough
