Following the conclusion of the abbreviated fall season last week, the Mathews Lady Devils’ volleyball team heads into post-season play on Monday, traveling to the Eastern Shore to face Northampton in the first round of the Region 1A tournament.

Mathews ended regular-season play tied with two other teams for third place and was officially placed as tournament’s fifth seed. Monday’s game against the Yellow Jackets is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

The winner of that contest will face either #1 seed Middlesex or #8 seed King and Queen Central in the regional semifinals on Wednesday, April 14. If Mathews wins on Monday, they would either travel to the Chargers or play host to the Tigers, depending on the outcome of their game.
