MHS boys’ senior four wins at Stotesbury

The Mathews High School boys’ senior four came out on top out of 52 boats to capture gold medals and the Kings Club Cup in last weekend’s 88th annual Stotesbury Regatta in Philadelphia.

The regatta attracting more than 188 schools and 950 entries with 5,000+ athletes who completed for 31 gold, silver and bronze medals

Mathews entered six boats—the boys’ and girls’ junior fours, the boys’ and girls’ junior doubles, the girls’ lightweight double and the boys’ senior four.

In the premier boys’ senior four event, Blue Devils Phillip Machen, Kyle Moran, Tucker Blackwell, Lance South and coxswain Kaitlyn Thompson faced 51 other entries.
