MHS boys lose to West Point, 47-6

The Mathews High School varsity football team fell to 0-8 on the season following a 47-6 loss last week to West Point. West Point picked up Friday night’s win at the Pointers’ homecoming game.

The Blue Devils will try to break into the win column this Friday when they travel to Charles City to face the Panthers in a 7 o’clock contest. The season comes to an end the following Thursday, Nov. 6, when Mathews hosts Middlesex in the 44th annual Mathews Ruritan Bowl game, also at 7 p.m. ...
