MHS baccalaureate service Sunday at G.I. Baptist

A baccalaureate service for Mathews High School’s class of 2014 will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church. The event is being held by the Mathews County Christian Ministerial Association, according to the Rev. Suzanne Gibson, pastor of Central United Methodist Church, Mathews.

Pastor John Michael Clark of Cornerstone Fellowship Church will be the featured speaker. Graduating seniors Shannon Collins, Nikkita Parrish, Brianna Stanton and Hunter Wood will provide special music. Senior Paul Burnette will read scripture, while classmate Whitney Eriksen will give a high school graduation prayer. The public is invited to attend. ...
