Meyer, Bazzani to lead Gloucester board in ’16

Members of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors unanimously elected a new chairman and vice chairman to lead the board in 2016 during its organizational meeting Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse.

At-large supervisor John Meyer Jr. will chair the board and York district supervisor Phillip Bazzani will serve as vice chair. Both men are beginning their third year on the board.

“I thank my fellow board members for their vote of confidence in the direction of the board for the next year,” Meyer said. He also added that he admired the work that had been done by his two predecessors, Abingdon district supervisor Robert “JJ” Orth and at-large supervisor Ashley Chriscoe, while they were at the helm of the governing body.

Meyer also extended another welcome to Gloucester’s new county administrator Brent Fedors, whose second day on the job was Tuesday. “He’s a Gloucester native who finally saw the light and found his way home,” Meyer...
