Merdita Ruth White, age 85, of Hayes, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Ruth was born on October 14, 1939, in Mississippi. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. David Leigh White. She is survived by her sons, Robert White (Mladenka), David White (Racheal), and Michael White; her grandchildren, Jordan White (Dezre) and Collin White, and her great-grandchild, Jayde White. A celebration of life service will be held at Abingdon Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Sven vanBaars. The inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
