We know that our little village at this season of the year is a very busy place, but as so many visitors and strangers are daily arriving to shop and transact other business, we respectfully urge that every merchant or other man of business in town will sweep in front of his own door, and if the result be scraps, why let them burn in the middle of the street and in the presence of the people. The town will present a much better appearance.
From Bohannon: Misses Martha Minter, Lizzie White and Helen Hudgins spent Thanksgiving Day with friends in Norfolk. The day is being more generally observed than formerly. All holidays should, in a large sense, be regarded as holidays, and Thanksgiving Day should be observed by our ministers in having church worship.
