Mel’s Handyman Service celebrates 20th anniversary

Mel’s Handyman Service is celebrating its 20th year in business.

Owner James E. Marsh of Gloucester said the business is named for his father Mel, who once owned a lawn care service in this area. But Marsh offers much more than lawn care.

He does grass cutting, trims trees and bushes, and similar jobs. In addition, he recently began hauling small loads of gravel and now offers driveway and small parking lot upgrades. Other services include sand hauling and brush removal.

 

 

Previously operating part-time for 10 years, Marsh has run the business full-time for 10 years.

His wife, Deborah, handles the books. They have 11 children.
