A meet-and-greet reception for Dr. David S. Daniel will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Mathews High School cafeteria, prior to the Mathews County School Board’s monthly meeting, which starts at 6.
In May, Daniel was named the new division superintendent, beginning his contract on July 1. He is expected to be officially appointed during Tuesday’s meeting. Daniel has already made an appearance in the community as one of the special guests introduced by Superintendent of Schools Nancy Welch during Saturday’s MHS graduation ceremony.
