The Mathews County Woman’s Club held its final luncheon of the season on June 9 at Saint Paul Comfort Church, Port Haywood. The women of Saint Paul, above from left, Suzi Maloney, Carol Lucas, Annie Goin, Pam Morris, Pastor Dede Parrish and Phyllis Hyde prepared and served the luncheon. Guest speakers Tom Karow and Marilyn Iglesias (below, flanking MCWC president Diana More) came in costume and talked about events in Gloucester, of which Mathews County was still a part, leading up to the Revolutionary War.
