The Mathews County Resources Council will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad building, Hudgins. Alice Stewart of the Department of Social Services will report on the county mandate that makes DSS the organization responsible to establish and maintain shelters when there is a natural disaster in Mathews County.
