Gloucester High School junior Megan McGee and sophomore Joshua Shackelford ended their GHS cross country season at the Virginia High School League Group 5A Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
McGee, in her third year at the state championships, placed 67th among 106 runners with a time of 20:34. This was her highest finish yet in the state meet. Shackelford was 31st in a field of 106 with a time of 16:35.
The GHS cross country athletes will continue to compete, with the USATF Virginia Association Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Mechanicsville and at the Foot Locker South Region XC Championship Meet in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Nov. 26. ...
