During this weekend’s Market Days, the Mathews Community Foundation will be giving away a $500 grant to a lucky winner’s charity of choice.

Stop by the MCF booth at Market Days on Friday or Saturday (across the street from Food Lion’s entrance) and drop your entry in our bowl. A drawing will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday to pick the winning entry. You do not need to be present to win.

The winner can then select any local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and that charity will receive a $500 grant in the winner’s honor.

“It’s our way of saying thanks to our amazing community and continuing our support of the many nonprofit organizations that help our residents,” a release stated.

MCF has granted nearly $5,000,000 to local charity organizations since 2000.
