Biddison’s watercolor in silent auction
An original watercolor of Callis Wharf on Milford Haven is among items in a silent auction which will be held Friday and Saturday at the Mathews Museum in conjunction with May Faire.
Artist Lois Biddison, who lives across the haven from the wharf, created the image for the cover of this year’s May Faire program. In addition to the original, May Faire has 50 prints for sale.
Biddison is a native of Cricket Hill in Mathews and graduate of Mathews High School. She obtained a bachelor of fine arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and spent her career in advertising production. Since retirement she has pursued art lessons from Kathleen Noffsinger.
“I paint for pleasure,” said Biddison. “I’m retired and spend a lot of time volunteering, not looking for new jobs.”
