Mattie C. Brooks, 80, of Mathews, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Teresa Harris and Linda Braxton; one sister, Edith Coleman; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at Emmaus Baptist Church, North. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, Dec. 20, from 6-7 p.m.
