Matthew Stephen Empert, 51, of Gloucester, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his home. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1985-1988 and 1989-1993 and was employed at Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his wife Melissa Oliver Empert, daughters Debbie Ayers, Mary Harris, and Rebecca Allen, father Stephen Empert, sisters Page Empert and Stacy Febuary, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
