Mathilde D. (Smith) Finney, 82, of Yorktown, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

Mathilde was a native of Germany. She loved birds, flowers, gardening and music. 

Mathilde was preceded in death by her husbands, Junior Smith and Jerry Finney, and her daughter, Judy A. O’Neil.

She is survived by four sons, Billy Smith (Heather), Henry Smith (Judy), Timmy Bayliff (Robin), Eugen Beuter; a daughter, Linda Marks (Stuart); a sister, Lilly Moller; seven grandchildren, and one great- grandchild. 

A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 10, at Windsor Gardens Cemetery in Dutton, Va. The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
