The Mathews High School varsity volleyball program will hold tryouts the week of Aug. 2-6 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. each day in the high school gymnasium. The JV team will have its tryouts on the same days in the Mathews Elementary School gym; times to be determined.

Players must have a VHSL physical form completed (dated after May 1, 2021) in order to participate. There are several other forms needed. All paperwork is available at the Mathews High School office.

Volleyball clinic

Varsity head coach Pat Moughon and JV coach Helen Morris will hold a beginner volleyball clinic for any interested players. Dates are Tuesday-Friday July 20-23 from 12:30-3 p.m. at Mathews Elementary School. The cost is $25. Contact Moughon at pmoughon@mathews.k12.va.us to register or get more information.
