Mathews truck repair business expands services

What began as a trucking and truck repair business more than 15 years ago has evolved into Love Repair, a multi-vehicle repair business on Route 14 about one mile west of Ward’s Corner in Mathews.

Owner Richard Love runs the business full-time, employing head mechanic Bruce Lambert of Dutton full-time, and Gilbert Coons of Mathews is a part-time shop helper.

Love said they added state inspection service—including inspection of trailers and RVs—last December; Love and Lambert are both certified as inspectors. Love Repair is currently exploring adding vehicle towing.

Among services offered at the two-bay shop are general repairs for all types of cars, light and heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, tractors, and RVs. Services include routine maintenance like oil changes, batteries, tires, brakes, air conditioner repair, engines and transmission. Love said they sell batteries and tires.
