The Mathews County Visitor and Information Center is inviting the public to “welcome fall and the best that downtown Mathews has to offer” at this year’s Autumn on Main and Vintage Market, to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.

This event in downtown Mathews will feature a dozen vendors along Main Street, children’s activities, the Mathews Farmers’ Market, an Artisan Market, and live music, said a press release.

Vendors will be selling vintage and holiday décor, collectibles, refurbished furniture, books, pottery, clothing and art. They include retail stores in Mathews, along with invited artists from the Vintage Pearl, Emy Lou’s Boutique, Stepsend, Love ReSail, Time Wave Vintage, Joey D’s Collectibles, and Holland Acre Farms.

The Mathews Farmers’ Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., featuring music by Carolyn and Mike August beginning at 10 a.m. At the Bay School Community Arts Center, there will be an artisan market with entertainment by Suite101 Band, ...
