The Mathews High School football team will kick off 2018 with its first pre-season scrimmage on Friday night at the school’s Ken Brown Field.
Both the varsity and junior varsity Blue Devils will take on the Colonial Beach Drifters, starting at 6 o’clock.
Mathews is scheduled to host another varsity/JV scrimmage next Thursday, Aug. 16, against Middlesex, starting at 6 o’clock with the JV contest. The regular season begins at home against Northampton on Friday, Aug. 24. Opening kickoff will be at 7 o’clock. ...
