Mathews seniors get glimpse of telehealth possibilities at Triad fair

Christy Helsel, system director for Digital Health at Riverside Health System, discussed the types of medical services that can be provided through the internet during the TRIAD Senior Health and Safety Fair held recently in Mathews. Among those services is remote consultation with a doctor through robots, such as the one shown at right.

The Triad Senior Health and Safety Fair, held last month in Mathews, offered local seniors a wealth of information on a variety of topics, among them the status of telemedicine, telehealth and other applications available with internet access.
