Mathews schools’ retirees recognized at program

 

School division retirees were honored and employees were recognized for reaching milestones in their careers during last Wednesday afternoon’s Mathews County Public Schools’ End-of-Year Reception/Awards Presentation, which was held in the Lee-Jackson/Thomas Hunter cafeteria.

Retirement plaques were presented to Marti Bowen, Susan Cox, Pat Gaul, Louise LeBron, Lyndall Marsh, Marlene Moore, James Raines, Nancy Rowe, Cathy Walker and Roy Williams.

The 10 retirees were thanked for giving a combined 199 years of service to Mathews schools. One additional plaque was awarded to Barbara Callis for 30 years of service to the county schools.

Service pins were awarded as follows: 10-year pins—Shirley Abrams, Sarah Crockett, Sara Hogge, LeBron, Karen Lloyd, Melissa Seidl, Deborah Hall Silvus, Mark Tomcany and Sarah Williams; 15-year pins—Kristi Anthony, Mindy Brown and Willard “Boo” Keels; 20-year pins—Delores Bloomfield, Laurel Byrd, Tammy Henr...
