Mathews School Board to meet this morning

The Mathews County School Board will close the books on the 2018-2019 school year during a special end-of-year meeting at 9 o’clock this morning in the School Board Conference Room.

At the meeting, board members are expected to approve the payment of year-end claims, review the expenditure and revenue reports for the year and authorize school board chairman John Priest and clerk Sharon Morgan to sign documents on behalf of the school board. Additionally, the board will adopt new and revised school board policies, including many that are being made to conform to changes approved by the most recent session of the Virginia General Assembly.

Following a closed meeting, the school board will consider approval of a personnel action.
