The Mathews County Visitor and Information Center is again coordinating the Community Spring Roadside Clean-Up, which is scheduled for next Saturday, May 13, beginning at 8 a.m. Individuals, their friends and families, civic and church groups, youth groups and others are all invited to take part, according to MCVIC director Jonathan Putt.

Participants will meet at the Visitor’s Center at 8 a.m. From there, volunteers will choose areas throughout the county to pick up roadside trash. They will also receive their vests and trash bags if they have not already done so, Putt added. Doughnuts and coffee will also be provided to volunteers at that time.
