The Mathews Music Department will present its annual Dinner and a Show program in the Mathews Elementary School cafeteria on Thursday, Nov. 13, beginning at 6 p.m.

The event includes a spaghetti dinner with breadsticks and salad, and is accompanied by entertainment by the Mathews High School Jazz Band, String Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble and other musicians from the Mathews Music Department. The department will also sell raffle tickets for various items and hold a bake sale at the event with a variety of desserts.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 5-12, and free for children under 5. They are available for purchase from music department students, in the Mathews High School front office, at 5-Star Oriental Medicine, M&M Building Supply, Mathews County Treasurer’s Office, Mathews Pharmacy and the Mathews Visitors Center. They can also be purchased by paying @mathewsmusic on Venmo with “D&S” in the payment description.

Doors open at 6:15 for the event, and entertainment will run from 6:30-8 p.m. All proceeds from the event will support the MHS and THMS music programs, including costs for the Blue Devil Band Spring Competition in Charlotte, N.C., and the Seahawk Band Competition in Williamsburg in the spring.
