The Mathews Historical Museum will hold a Christmas holiday “Soup & Shop” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at the museum on Main Street.

Visitors will be able to purchase a cup of corned beef chowder while shopping in the museum’s Retail Shoppe. Masks and social distancing will be observed.

The Mathews County Historical Museum, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.100 percent of all fees collected from memberships and donations are used to support the museum’s projects and activities.

Museum affairs are managed by an all-volunteer board of directors, which meets the first Monday of each month at the Mathews County Historical Museum, 198 Main Street.
