Mathews Library to host Tech Fair 2012 Saturday

Residents of all ages will have an opportunity to learn about technology and meet with vendors offering a variety of services during Tech Fair 2012 this Saturday at Mathews Memorial Library.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors can have fun, dance off fines, and win prizes, including a Kindle Touch, MP3 player and flash drive, said library director Bette Dillehay.

The event is free, open to everyone, and does not require registration, said Dillehay. Members of the library staff will be on hand to demonstrate a variety of electronic devices featured in the library’s Tech Zoo. Special stations will feature gaming on the Wii and assistance with eReaders, downloadable apps, and more during the event.

Vendor representatives from, MetroCast, Verizon, Middle Peninsula Gateway Communications and the Franktronics travelling van will be on hand to discuss their services and answer questions.
