Mathews Memorial Library is launching a new opportunity for readers to interact with authors—Virtual Author Talks. Beginning with author Dan Heath at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, the library will showcase a virtual author talk series each month featuring bestselling and highly acclaimed authors from around the world. The featured writers will cover a wide range of fiction and nonfiction titles, said a press release. The free series takes place two to three times a month, said the release, and includes the opportunity to ask the author questions. A repository of previous author talks is also available for viewing at any time. In addition to Heath’s talk, titled “Power of Reset and How to Change What’s Not Working,” upcoming talks in March are Clara Bingham with “How Women’s Liberation Transformed America” and Jennifer Weiner on “Dreams We Chase.” Best-selling author Jodi Picoult will be a highlight in the April series.
