Mathews Legionnaires honored with Continuous Membership certificates

While Mathews American Legion Post 83 has canceled its annual Veterans Day Dinner and Awards Program due to the coronavirus pandemic, one of the highlights of the evening—the awarding of Continuous Membership certificates—is still going on, according to Post Adjutant Morey Alexander.

The following Legionnaires will receive their certificates in the mail during November:Five Years—W.R. Rollins, Michael A. Sanborn, Mark C. Seavey and James E. Travenski. 10 Years—Thomas M. Cook, James O. Galusha, William H. Hayes, Richard D. Hill, Thomas M. Hunley, Eric P. Pillath, Robert Thompson and Daniel Webster. 15 Years—John K. Betts, David P. Castleman, Jerry A. Ligon and Julian D. Wilton. 20 Years—Roger R. Gamble, Terence M. King, Michael J. McDonough, Kenneth L. Schaefer Jr. and Hilton C. Smith. 25 Years—Franklin S. Crittenden, Benjamin H. Fitchett and Fred A. Schultz. 35 Years—James D. Doswell and Arnold C. Ripley. 40 Years—Herbert A. Dehnert. 45 Years—George W. Davis and Leonard J. Jenkins....
