A Thanksgiving Mathews Farmers’ Market will be held on Mathews Court Green on Saturday. Larry and Rosalie Brown of Bentwaters Farm at Susan, took part in the Saturday, Oct. 29 Mathews Farmers’ Market, the final regular weekly market of 2022. The Browns have appeared regularly, since the market was established at Mathews High School some 30 years ago, offering homemade items from soap and woolens to carved canes and preserves. Bobbi Nitz, at right, tests the scent of a bar of soap. A Christmas market is planned on Dec. 10.
