Mathews deputies to take part in No Shave November

It’s that time of year again.

The members of the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office will be putting their razors aside in a few weeks for the department’s second annual No Shave November fundraising campaigns.

The MCSO will be accepting donations from now through the end of November in support of cancer research, “while also letting our guys grow their beards to their hearts content” throughout November, said Investigator A.L. Edwards.

Checks can be sent to the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office, P.O. Box 190, Mathews, Va., 23109. Cash/checks can also be dropped off directly at the sheriff’s office. Checks should be made payable to “No Shave November.” The MCSO does not any deposit of the funds and any cash donations will be exchanged for a cashier’s check paid directly to the nonprofit.
