Mathews Continental Societies welcomes new members

Continuing its commitment to local youth advocacy, the Mathews chapter of Continental Societies, Inc., inducted two new members—Khadijah Payne and Carolyn Hayes—during a ceremony held on Saturday, Dec. 20. The induction marks a period of growth for the local chapter of the national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As the newest members of the society, Payne and Hayes will join a cohort of volunteers focused on enhancing the welfare of underserved children and youth throughout the Mathews area. The Mathews chapter spearheads initiatives that address five key areas of youth development: Health and Wellness; Education and Literacy; Employment and Career Readiness; Recreation, and Arts and Humanities.
