The Mathews Community Foundation has an active Business Partners Program that offers businesses that serve local customers the opportunity to help us make our community better.
This month, MCF turned its spotlight on business partner Haywood Floor Covering, Inc. Physically located in Gloucester, Haywood has many customers in Mathews and believes it is important to give back to the community, a MCF release stated.
Haywood Floor Covering has been in operation since 2005 and is a family-owned business specializing in all types of floor coverings, such as porcelain tile, resilient flooring, LVT, VCT, resinous flooring, concrete polishing and staining, carpeting, site finished hardwood, as well as engineered flooring installation, to name a few.
It is a Better Business Bureau-accredited business serving the Middle Peninsula, the Northern Neck, all of Hampton Roads and the Richmond area. The company’s business motto is to always put the needs of their customers first and Haywood supports this with quality work. It is accredited by the National Wood Flooring Association, National Tile Council of America, International Polishing Concrete Institute of America, as well as other professional associations.
The Mathews Community Foundation Business Partners Program has over 20 current members, and they are all important to the foundation’s work in the community.
“Our business partners are vital to our successful operation,” foundation board chair Pat Lipinski said. “We could not provide the level of support to our nonprofit community without these businesses. We are pleased to have Haywood Floor Covering Inc. as a part of our effort and ask our community to look to our business partners when services are needed.”

The Business Partners Program supports the budget for MCF’s donor events, marketing and nonprofit training, allowing donor funds to go directly to the fund for Mathews for grants to local nonprofits, according to regional affiliate associate Ashleigh Elliott.
