The Mathews Chamber of Commerce is having a membership drive this month, offering a 50 percent discount for both new and renewing members.

Spokesman Charlene Winter said the chamber is open to both the business and the nonprofit communities, and that individuals are invited to join, as well. The full-price rates range from $25 for individuals such as educators, ministers and military personnel who are not actively engaged in business to $150 for general business firms employing more than 50 people. All rates will be half price.

The chamber is planning its next Mathews Meet-Up for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, at Williams Wharf, said Winter. Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Those attending will have an opportunity to meet the new officers and new members and to network with each other.
