After a lengthy, contentious regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 17, that ended with numerous agenda items remaining to be addressed, the Mathews County Board of Supervisors will meet again this evening, Thursday, July 31, at 6 p.m. in the historic courthouse on Court Street.
Tonight’s meeting will begin with a continued discussion of Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill by the board, after which an early opportunity is provided for public comment on matters that do not pertain to the scheduled public hearing, which also involves Hole in the Wall.
The public comment section of the agenda took up a large portion of the July 17 meeting, with numerous residents sharing their thoughts about the supervisors’ decision earlier this month to evict Hole in the Wall from the county-owned property it leases.
