The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

The purpose of Tuesday’s meeting is to go into closed session pursuant to Virginia Code 2.2-3711(A)(1) and (A)(8) for discussion or consideration of the performance of the deputy county administrator/clerk and for the provision of legal advice regarding employment law, a county press release stated. Following the closed meeting, the board may take action related to the topics discussed.

The meeting was called by chairman Paul Hudgins on Thursday, March 24. The deputy county administrator/clerk is Julie Kaylor.
