Mathews BOS holds closed meeting on litigation issues

The Mathews Board of Supervisors had a special closed session meeting on Monday, May 11 on matters pertaining to the ongoing Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill litigation. No action was taken on the matters discussed, which included provision of legal advice as to an out-of-court settlement; consideration of the disposition of publicly held real property as it pertains to 384 Old Ferry Road, where the restaurant is located on county property; and other matters requiring legal advice, such as the Freedom of Information Act, settlement negotiations, contract law, and breach of contract as it pertains to the lease between the county and the restaurant....
