The Mathews County Board of Supervisors and School Board will hold a joint work session beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday in the historic courthouse to talk about collaboration between the county and school division about future planning.
Janice Phillips and Dr. Mari Gibbs, chairs of the two respective boards, will call the meeting to order.
At a joint budget work session on Oct. 8, the two boards discussed the possibility of setting up a Saturday work session to delve into the division’s long-term capital needs, although no date had been set at that time.
This special meeting was announced Tuesday.
