Mathews board to meet Tuesday night

The Mathews County Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

The agenda includes reports by schools superintendent David Holleran, Sheriff Mark Barrick, Sean Trapani of VDOT, Stephen Geissler of the Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority, and possibly a Virginia Association of Counties’ representative.

County administrator Mindy Moran is expected to report on the status of Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad’s refunding request, a contract extension for cleaning services, a request for proposals for audit services, a legal services agreement, and the Line of Duty Act (a program providing benefits to first responders who die or become disabled in the line of duty) as it relates to county matters.
