Gloucester resident Ginger Platsis, a certified massage therapist, has opened her own practice, Heart Felt Touch, in the DeHardit House just off of Gloucester’s Main Street.

Platsis worked for over seven years as a massage therapist for Riverside’s Middle Peninsula Wellness and Fitness Center before deciding to branch out on her own.

Platsis decided to make the move after a client, Jill Reece, began to talk to her about going into business together using holistic approaches to help people feel better. Reece’s business, True Found Wellness, is adjacent to Heart Felt Touch.

“We began talking about it, praying about it and looking for an opportunity for a place to rent,” Platsis said. “The door opened up so quickly. We found this great location in this great house.”
