A majority of the Masonic lodges in this district will gather for worship at 11 a.m. Sunday at Reedswood Christian Church, Gloucester. The public is invited to attend the joint service, which will also recognize John the Baptist.

Joe Pescador, worshipful master of Botetourt Lodge #7 in Gloucester, who is helping to organize the event, said there are a number of com-

mon misconceptions about Masons in the community. Such misconceptions include that they are trying to take over the government, or are even demonic, he said. 

Pescador said the hope of this joint worship service is to portray to the community that instead, Masons are God-fearing and worship together in unity.

Pescador said six of the seven lodges in the district will have representatives attend the worship service. ...
