MARY STONE DOUGLASS GROVER

Mary Stone Douglass Grover, 88, of Warm Springs, Va., died Dec. 26, 2012 at home, surrounded by her family.

She was the widow of William Mortimer Grover Jr. and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Payson Stone Douglass of Llewellyn Park, West Orange, N.J. She was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Nichols Douglass Coxhead of Llewellyn Park, Beatrice Stone Douglass Halsey of Lebanon, N.J., and a brother, Edward Remington Nichols Douglass of Lebanon, N.J.

Survivors include her daughter, June Grover Mathis of Greeneville, Tenn.; three sons, William Howe Grover of Lancaster, Va., William Mortimer Grover III of Old Church, Va., and Peter Dun Grover of Lexington, Va.; five grandchildren, William Howe Grover Jr., Stephen Stone Grover, Peter Dun Grover Jr., Edward Douglass Grover, and Katheryn Gamble Grover; and three great-grandchildren, Avery Jane Grover, Sawyer Caroline Grover, and Olivia Holly Grover.

In keeping with her wishes, her body was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at Ware Episcopal Church in Gloucester, Va., in the spring.
