Mary Seawell Thomas, 86, of Hayes, born July 30, 1932, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 30, 2018.

Mary was an active and lifelong member of Providence Baptist Church. She worked for N.N.S.B. and retired from Bay Aging Meals on Wheels.

Mary was kind and loving to her family and everyone she met, and loved her Lord. She will be missed by all. In my heart she will always be. I love you, Mom!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Healey and Mary Seawell.

She leaves to cherish her memory son, William Keith (aka Joker) Thomas (Tammy Evans); grandchildren, Ryan Thomas of Florida and Kelly Wayman of King and Queen, and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Chris McMillan was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Providence Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
