Mary Ruth West, 59, of Maryus, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at her home.

She was born on Big Island in Gloucester County to the late Willie and Edna Belvin West. She attended Union Baptist Church in Hayes, Va.

She is survived by her companion of over 25 years, Roger West; her children, Joni Smith, Steven West, and Jeffery West; her siblings, Pinky West, Martha Wilson, Ella West, Edna Smith, Mary Ann West, Shirley West, Rebecca Belvin, John West, Jessie West, and Robert West; her grandchildren, Jacob, Jeremy, Ashley, Brittany, and Alden, and her great grandchild, Landyn.

The family received friends at Andrews Funeral Home on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. with graveside services starting at 2 p.m. in Rosewell Memorial Gardens.
